This is a panorama of Greenville Maine around 1900 showing the Folsom Building (now the Indian Store) , Sanders store and more. Surprised to see the color? Some in the collection were "colorized" in Germany as the Germans had the only color capability at the time.

Rockwood Moosehead Lake Mt Kineo Snowplow Team  c1900 Panorama

Here we are in Rockwood at the public landing. This shot was taken from about where the post office stands today looking toward the Rockwood Trading Post. The team of eight horses is pulling a snow plow. The railroad round house on the landing can be seen on the right edge of the photograph, Moosehead Lake in the background.

Here it is headed for the docks at Rockwood. A steamboat makes it's, way from Kineo Hotel seen just above the postman's head. This photo shows the view looking south, away from the end of the landing. Here travelers change from train to steamboat on their way to the Kineo Hotel located just across Moosehead Lake. The RR Co. store and hotel are visible off to the right. The photographer's daughter can be seen standing in front of the platform. This reproduction is printed using archival inks on a matte paper.
